Description: Black Rock City appears to be surrounded by its own shape, in billion year old granite.
Coming down from Trego Mountain on Sunday morning I was literally wiped out. All I wanted to do was get down to my Suzuki out of the wind and CRASH. About half way down the mountain I stopped for a moment to chug down out of the camelbak, and glancing over to my left I saw this…
“Well FINE then!”
I unshouldered the pack set up the tripod, unpacked the camera, cleaned the front filter again and got to work. Here’s a good example of the ancient decomposing granite that makes up Trego Mountain. I could literally break one of these arms off with my hand if I tried, it’s that friable. Unfortunately I was so beat down at this point from this experience that I probably would have injured myself in doing so.
